Buyer of Tears, Seller of Dreams
“Smiles for teardrops,” an old peddler cries. “Wisdom for heartache, and laughter for sighs. A penny for thoughts, and new lamps for old. Wisdom for an eye. Rest for the weary, and sight for the lost. Today a deal I'll make, whatever the cost.” She looked like a small mountain, sitting on her stool.
